Allison Dee & Circo SonoraZona

Allison Dee Partners with Los Hermanos Peña-Leon to Create
Circo SonoraZona : A Sister Cities Creative Collective
Bilingual. Pan-cultural. International.
Circo SonoraZona brings artists from Tucson (Arizona, USA) and Hermosillo (Sonora, MEX) together to exchange ideas, share skills, and celebrate unity through public performance.
When Allison Dee and Derek Peña-Leon first met at Tucson’s MSA Annex to rehearse a Dia de Los Muertos wedding performance in 2021, they had no idea that it would become a marriage of two cities. But after eighteen months of road trips, brainstorms, and countless performances, this stage duo is making it official, and joining their circus families. In 2022, Circo Sonorazona debuted at the 33rd annual All Souls Procession in Tucson, AZ.
Circo SonoraZona celebrates collaboration, teaming up with troupes from all over Sonora and Arizona for festivals, processions, family-friendly community events, spectacular nightlife, and creative film & video projects. Let Circo SonoraZona add some excitement to your event!
